Where does the 3 way brass fitting for the rear brakes reside, well I guess the question really is which side right or left has the long brake tube? Sometimes I am a bit slow.

Jack

It bolts to the rear on the drivers side. So the passenger side should have the longer brake line.

There should be a hole there on the pumpkin for it to bolt on too.

Patrick

Patrick, I hate to be a spoil sport, but it bolts to the right side of the pumpkin. (Drivers side if a RH drive car.) The left side of the car gets the longer line. I'm staring at a Bugeye pumpkin as I type this.

Long side drivers side, short side pass side, it all fits. That nice brass fitting goes on the pass side as well.

Guess what I learned today, what a dumb question. Guess I was a bit stressed over fulcrum pins.

Really, if you think about it, it could go on either side depending on if it were a right or left hand drive car. The side that the master cylinder is on would be the correct side! (like the pedal box/master cylinder housing on driver side and blanking plate on passenger side)

But, Mike, the mounting hole in the diff housing for the 3 way fitting is on the RH side of the car. On a LH drive car, the brake line runs from the master cylinder across the firewall to the splitter, and down the right side of the trans tunnel. On a RH drive, they don't have to cross over, and follow the same routing to the rear.

This is the piece on rear axle. Same for right or left hand car. This was removed last nite from a right hand drive.
