Question regards Insurance for members on other side of the Atlantic

If I was to ship a vehicle to the UK or mainland Europe, I`ve been advised that I can`t source insurance from my local folks. If this dream should ever materialize, I`d ideally have a car with Alberta licence plates and registration, but properly insured. I understand that there are limits regards use or storage per the Maastricht Treaty (and presume Brexit may impact), but I`d appreciate any wisdom regards PL & PD etc. insurance.
(Side note: we were in Iceland two years back and ran across a specially built pickup-camper with North Dakota plates; they`d been in Europe about five years, livin`the dream. He gave me an insurance contact but it had shut down by the time I counted them). Thanks, Doug

Doug, when a bunch of us in AHCA did the UK 2K tour we were required to get a 6 month policy that could not be cancelled early. I don't know if the group that took a mainland side trip had to get additional or different policies or not. Don't remember the cost.

I would contact Bob Yule from Autofarm . I know he and a bunch of other Canadian Healey owners shipped there cars to the UK and did a tour a few years back .
