Jack, looking at the aluminum housing from the front, there is a pad cast on at about the 11:00 position, just before the start of the mounting flange. There will be numbers there, such as 9/38. That's the number of teeth on the pinion gear, and the number on the ring gear. 9/38 would be for a 4.22:1 gear, stock for the Bugeye. I'm looking at one right now, stamped 9/41, which would be a 4:56:1. (4.555555555555555...) Just divide the big number by the little number. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
