Spitfire Question on solid steering rack mounts!

Hello
More questions. This is about the solid steering rack mounts. These don't look right. They don't sit up against the rack ears for one, another is the upper part does not fit down around the rack, and it looks like if it is tightened down it will deform the steering rack outer tube.
The ones I used on my TR6 were much wider and snug up against the rack ears and also covered the hole on the left side with the little rubber plug.
Are they just wrong?
The rack was originally mounted with factory parts.
Thanks

Whose mounts are they?
On the 6 there is only one real solid mount that works

These are sold by Spitbits and BPNW. Info from vendors says space evenly and tighten down. I am still thinking on it. May just go to poly's and skip the solids.

The solids are nice for spirited driving but your hands do take a little thrashing
Call whats his name at BPNW.
He'll answer the question
