Question on ignition switch wiring

Hi guys. Now that I've got oil pressure (for now anyway), the next job is to fix the ignition switch wiring. The combination switch (Moss 667-865)is missing so the wires are hanging loose.

I have the replacement switch, but am unsure which color wire fits matches the numbers (1, 2, 3, 5) on the back where the fittings go.

Can anyone tell me color wire matches to what number?

Thanks!

1 - White / Red
2 - Brown x 2
3 - White x 2
4 - Brown
5 - White / Pink
6 - Brown / Red

Thanks Stu - The wiring on my switch goes (clockwise) 1, 5,3,2. There is no 4.

I should have indicated that this is a 1971 TR6.

5,3,2 all have two prongs.

In other words - despite your help I'm still confused!

Stu - It worked!

Holy cow - now more alligator clips running everywhere.

I even have headlights. Ok, ok. I have ONE headlight anyway. And only on the high beam setting - but I'll take it!

The heater fan works now as well. <grin>

Good, glad to hear it.
I've just been tracking wires down, the heater, wipers and wiper washers weren't working, got out the old trusty manual, bit of patience and all is working.
100% TR6...............is that tempting fate???

Here you go.

My guess is that TR6Stu likes white cars! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Very Nice...both of them.
