Hi guys - pulled out the TR4a donor hood to get it painted so I can start using the TR4A IRS (hope Rich is sitting down). The hood is rougher than I remember and I found some damage on the hood support area.

Hood to be painted;

Reference hood with support;

Any ideas on how to repair this? Is there a bolt/stud that needs to be welded in place? Anyone have a picture of a good one w/out the support so I have a reference?

Thanks.

It can be fixed, just going to take some time. Best way I see to do it is cut a square out around the damaged area. Hammer it out, weld in the hood stud and reweld the sq back in place. Or if you were closer, get another hood from me.
