I know a Bugeye should be able to idle at 800 RPM.

However, I have a very tight fresh engine so what do you supose is a realistic goal to shoot for near term?

After 1500 to 3000 miles I would expect to get 800 for sure.

ncbugeye insists on idling at just under 1000 rpm as she is.

Is this the final answer or is it just Sat nite blahs.

A smooth 900-950 rpms should be fine for initial break in.

Outstanding Pat, I can get there I think with out difficulity.

I'm not able to read every post here because I'm on like 10 BBS's. Yes I need a life. I think I recall you posting these carbs are for a larger displacement engine...Correct? Tuning the idle may be a little tricky. If you can get to 950 I'd go with that.

Are H1s for the 948 engine although the engine is now a 998.
