Statement first, Bugeye option item was an Electric clock p/n 1G2892.

Has anyone ever seen one of these? Wonder what it looked like and where it was mounted?

Two things:

1. The optional clock was a dealer offering even though it was sanctioned by factory - thus, it was never installed on the car at the factory
2. The only place on the dash that was perforated at the factory for later additions was the place for the radio over in front of the passenger under the pull handle

Thus, wherever the dealer decided to put it is where the clock went.

Having said all that, my '63 Midget has an extra period amp guage located directly below the choke cable.

There must have been a few around even if they were only dealer stock, wonder what they looked like. And yep I had an extra gage in my last Bugeye, amp meter just under the starter cable if I remember right. That was long before the day of digital camras. Hehe.

I'll try to get a photo of my dash tomorrow
