how do I open a new tab in google instead of new tab

I right click on the search result and then left-click "open in new tab"

when I have one page open (eg bcf) and I want to open a new tab in google I left click the + sign at the top of the page and it comes up as a new tab, not in google.

You could put Google as a link in the bookmark toolbar. Then do what I said earlier by right clicking that icon to open a new tab.

Not sure I understand what you're asking ... but in most browsers, you can open a new tab by hitting CTRL and the T key

If you want a new tab to always be Google, then just set your Home page to Google. Then when you click the Home icon, you'll always go to Google. If you want to open Google in a new tab (while keeping another page open), hold the CTRL key when you click the Home icon.

thanks guys I was just hoping that I could click on the + sign and it would come up in google automatically but I guess I have to use 2 fingers now.:friendly_wink:

If google is set as your home page, clicking the Home icon using the middle mouse button (usually a wheel) will do the same as holding the control key down. (Also, clicking on any link with that button opens the page in a new tab)

Well, if your mouse has 3 buttons or supports "clicking" the mouse wheel, you could click that to open a link or bookmark in a new tab too. That'd bring you back down to 1 finger :D

oh... looks like John said that already ;)
