Dash is out of course need to strip the front, not the back with the orginial writeing of car specs.

Now, I know to prime it. Just paint with regular enamal over the primer.

Keep in mind that it will have contact cememt then with a vinal cover to finish it off.

Any better ideas for paint or should that be OK?

The vinyl adhesive/contact cement is fairly agressive. I would think having the vinyl applied over raw steel would be adequate.

That was my second thought but just not sure it is correct.

Ack! Not over raw steel. Buy some etching primer in a rattle can, then spray it and let it cure. Then paint it with a couple of decent coats of enamel.

Ahh, like minds. Good deal.
