Question 1

There should be one behind the radiator...but I think it may only be on later cars(with no cross member)...I should order a new one for the LE....I kinda clipped it with a pressure washer when I was doing the engine bay...made a hole right through.

hmmmmmm...

later as in RB cars, or later as in '77 and up?

Kenny's motor mounts are shot allowing the engine to drop down a bit & take out the part of the mud shield that goes under the harmonic balancer

...nothing behind radiator - everything's in front

ah... ok... well, originally I had started to think I might be missing a part from my car. It wouldn't be the first time that I found stuff like that out (e.g. missing ZS "shroud", heatshield, etc.). At anyrate, I looked up the radiator stuff on Moss, and my year car fell into the years that doesn't have the "Mud Shield", and only has the "Lower Air Duct Panel". That panel just happens to be a sagging hunk of stiff card board still being held in place by the screws that attach it to the chassis on my car.

Thanks for helping de-newbifying me on this... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hmmmm, mine is behind the radiator. I'll try to snap a pic tomorrow. Doesn't look anything like Janel's.

oooooo... and the plot thickens!

*cue dramatic revalation type music score here*

Yeah I believe it's the 77 and up cars.

That does make sense... Rob, does your car have twin electric fans, and the radiator nearly touching the slam-panel?... Or a engine fan, and the radiator far enough back that small dogs could lay down in front of the radiator? That might be the difference. I'll still post a pic tomorrow.

engine fan and there's enough room in front of the radiator for a German Shepard to lay in....
