Thanks Dave.
Great shots.

How did the Shenley event go? No one hit those stone wall, I hope?

Last night we were thinking of all the folks towing home so far after being in Pitsburgh for the entire week (Arizona, Florida, Calif)...they'll need another week to recover!

And for anyone who is reading this but missed it on the other thread, there are pictures of the Pittsburgh Vintage at BeaveRun ~HERE~ and ~HERE~.

----------------------------

I was sitting on the hill just before the first downhill hairpin during the Group 5 race. A gray Porsche convertible was on the outside of two other cars and hit the curb right in front of me. His front end was about three feet off the ground but luckily he kept the vehicle under control and pulled off the course behind the concrete barrier at the flag station for the turn. The front left tire was blown and possibly the wheel and suspension damaged.

I only saw a couple of close calls...
(And heard about the white Jr. #321 rolling at 4)

Both were at turn 9
(The first hairpin where I was spectating on Sunday)

The guy in the C-Type spun right in front of another guy (?)
There was a collective gasp, as he was momentarily immobile, broadside at the blind apex of the hairpin.

The other one was the Lotus 11 getting passed by the Lotus 18/20 on the same corner.
The 18 dive bombed the 11 and got really loose, forcing the 11 to take evasive action......And yield the line.

Next time yer drinking an Iron City....
Consider how expensive some of that Aluminum may have been. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Hey.....What the heck happened to you....

Well I wrecked my C-Type and was fine untill a mob of spectators beat the crap out of me.

Re: PVGP Schenley--New Videos

A quick question, On race day there was a sweet red Jag dualing with a much older jag (I believe) and was a pretty good race with the red jag passing the older JAG. Suddenly... the red Jag is gone. Any idea what happened? We were down by the downhill hair pin and we heard rumours he crashed it

Re: PVGP Schenley--New Videos

I've a friend who'd fix the C-type... but it'd need to be shipped to New Zealand's south island. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

EDIT: Did I post the photos of the smashed D-type he fixed?

The guy in the XK140 #130 is Tivvy Shenton....
He's a ringer......He was a real deal racer back in the day.
Real nice guy and one heck of a driver.
I have been spectating for several years & I've never seen him beaten.

First time I saw the 63 E-Type (red # 131) was BeaveRun....(this year)
He's fast but a bit too aggressive.

That's exactly what the Porsche guy that was pitted next to me said.

I didn't see the event at Shenley Park. I heard about an incident, but I've got no details.

Tivvy's the Man! His Jag seems to have a very mild engine (idles well and has only two stock SUs). And I'm sure it's a heavy beast....but man, he drives the wheels off it!
It was fun trying to stay with him on Turns #2,3 and 4.

Here he is sneaking up on three of us in an unsuspecting "BMC posse".

Re: PVGP Schenley--New Videos

I was working turn #3....(at Beaverun)

When I was yellow flagging the blue flagger would point and I'd turn around to watch Tivvy drift that Jag through 2 & 3.
(if it was clear)

Next day I was working #9 and saw the E-type chasing Tivvy into 10 through traffic.

Tivvy made it through a hole, the E-type locked em up trying to follow and went 4 off driver's left.

Re: PVGP Schenley--New Videos

Every year I have gone to PVGP that White Jag just run away with the race. TIVVY has a heck of a car, I was glad to see the RED JAG make a run at him. I had met the red Jags owner at Beaverun and talked to him and admired his car. Sweet ride. I wish he had keep in the race, would have been a heck of a finish. The white jag was smoother thru the turns but the red Jag seemed a bit faster

Re: PVGP Schenley--New Videos

I am a huge fan of the Triumphs but the American Muscle car race was fantastic
