Saturday, July 4th, will be my 1st time putting any car in a show, and I was wondering if theres any tips you guys could give me. I've been to about 10,000 car shows, but just never participated.

So far I know this:

Keep it clean
No oil leaking

So is there anything else I should prep for? I'm bringing cleaning products, shop towels, some drinks, a folding chair, a few qts of oil, and a few tools.

What about presentation? I would assume bonnet up, hood down, boot closed, and all clean enough to eat off of.

If anyone is curious, its at the Hollywood Fire Department in Southern Maryland.

I am thinking of doing the same thing with a small town show but bring the 3 cars. I think you will want an umbrella as well to keep out of the sun.

It really isn't about winning something. It is about look at each others cars and the conversations you have with others who like cars as well.

Most important tip: Have fun!

Tip #2: Be ready to talk to everyone.

Another nice thing to have on hand is a photo album of the restoration work done.
