Putting a Getrag 5 speed OD transmission in a Jaguar Mkll ?

I read somewhere where this was doable but I do not remember where? Has anybody here heard of this conversion?

Check with Johns jaguar conversions in Texas and there is another in Kentucky that sells the kit. Douable, but would the original 4-speed and OD work?

I'm asking fo someone I know who is facing the task of rebuilding a Jag 140 transmission and I have the Getrag available. I'll inquire with the names you have given me. Thanks Karl

I had heard that they would work in a Mkll and I wondered how similar the Mll gearbox was to the 140 gearbox?

140 has no syncro 1st gear, MKll is syncro 1st.
