Purchasing AH spares in the UK

Hi Healeyes, I'm pretty new to this forum, but...

My AH 100-6 1957 BN4L is so much ready for the road, I just have to get hold of 2x2 front brake cylinders.

I know of AHSpares and have been informed that their parts do consist of approx. 70% from Taiwan.

I'm in for good reliable parts etc. and are always ready for new inputs.

Alternative to AHSpares I have been informed of something called "County" in the UK......... and thats it....

Do any of you known of this "County" ?

Sorry for my poor written English, do hope it makes sence.

Regards Henrik M. Larsen, Denmark

Link to AH 100-6 1957, it is in Danish, but there's three links to vid's on youtube in the top of it: https://www.stinesminde.dk

Hi Henrik, My experience with County parts is they are no better and mostly worst than the other suppliers. Check with the UK guys. I know there are qualified rebuilders there but do not have the sources they use.---Fwiw==Keoke

Hi Hendrik,

I bought the majority of my parts for my 100/6 from AH Spares in the UK with no problems whatsoever.

Parts I bought from other suppliers broke down within less than a year and needed to be exchanged. Since then, I've bought all of my parts from AH with a rapid and efficient service.

I'm not here to make publicity for one or the other as you will always find something which is not completely up to standard but personally, I can only recommend them as they do exclusively Healey Parts.

regards

Higgins

I've used AH. They have been very good for trim and body work.
I have always used Dennis Welsh for engineering spares, they work to a very high standard, have raced both 3000's and 100's for many years. They know the weak spots uder hard use and produce parts that are reliable. They also offer really good advice based on their experience, they are not just a cost based reseller.
AH are offering some interesting spares now such as steel cranks and other bits. I've no feedback on these, but would be reluctant to use them unless I could speak to someone who had used their parts in anger.

Hi Higgins, excellent, thanks.

Well, I'm pretty confident with AHSpares - I know of Victoria British parts & MossMotors and my reason for asking in this forum, is only to become smarter on spares.

I expect, among others, my four off wire wheel rims to arrive within 3 days from AHSpares.

Unfortunately is it so, that my local dealer in spares have informed me, that 70% of their spares do come from Taiwan, and that the Taiwan products could be better, especially wire wheels are - well, he used the words.... "scrap"... "bring ´em out fist time in wet weather - and they will be red on the following morning"

And here I am - receiving 4 off on Friday this week... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif

I'd like to hear, sorry read, different opinions on this issue, gladly related to AHSpares chrome items, but any inputs spares related are most welcome.

Have nice day, Henrik

Hi all

I restored my BT7 95% with AH spares parts, and no problem and good service.

Bear on mind Taiwan is producing lots of things for the rest of the world, I d´ont think Taiwan semms bad quality
