T-Series Pulling the Engine & switching to OD

So, I've collected a lot or parts over the past several months to get this Roadster back on the road. I;ve decided to pull the Engine & switch to OD. RIght now the Block is about bar and I have a few pieces of steel to attach to the engine to pull er out.

I'll be priming and painting the engine with Glossy black 500Âş paint before I change over. Refilling it with 20/50 before putting it back in.

I'll be jacking it up in the am and taking it out first thing.

Any tips or tricks? What to look out for hints...

No special tricks I can think of off hand, but my preferred method is to raise the rear of the car to make the engine / gearbox combo easier to tilt out.

Steve, I'm disappointed that your garage gear isn't color coded. It appeard that you're using your red car jacks and cranes on the black car. Ordinarily that's a 3 point deduction, but it's Friday and Ive had enough pinot to be mellow, but don't let it happen again.

The only thing I think I forgot to get were Transmission mounts. I hope my buddy has a pair when he come over this morning.

That shouldn't stop the show, Vinnie! They can be renewed later! 4 bolts and a floor jack... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Sweet. Gotta go check to see if she's clean. I had to spray it down with de-greaser and hose of off. You can't damage them with direct water contact can you?

No, but a constant bathing in lubricant will render 'em gooey. Aim for "no leaks". /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

No not a constant bathing. I little spritz, a little wire brushing and little sitting a hosing. Several times and she looks much better.

Here is where I am at:
