Ok...I am certifiable....but you already know that! I have a 1966 Glasspar boat that is 9'8 long. Fits on a jetski trailer. I am thinking about towing it behind my Traveller....mainly for local carshows, etc. How crazy am I? I have a couple of pics to upload once I figure out how. One huge factor against me - 850 engine in the Mini. The boat weighs next to nothing......
 
There is no hitch of any kind.....and suggestions?
 
Well whatever you get will have to be mounted to the rear subframe. I don't know if anyone makes hitches to fit the Mini, certainly not any more, at any rate.

If they exist anywhere, the UK is going to be where they are.....maybe try a UK-based Mini specialist?
 
Peter...you should be able to take it into a trailer or hitch shop and they can design one for your frame. I owned a Jeep Wrangler when younger and actually used it to pull a 19' inboard..the hitch shop I took it to did a great job customizing the frame attachment and pitch. The boat was twice as long as my little Jeep but it trailer GREAT!..only issue is you'll need to use another vehicle to get the trailer there as well so they can lay it out properly.

Just get a lighter boat. I used to haul my 17' canoe on top of my MGB with a hard top. I'll have to find a picture of that.

I like my passengers to be happy. It is more often used for the front seat, left side passenger. It kind of freaks some people to see the "driver" lay the steering wheel down.

The gent who used to have the British car dealerships in KC would drag his birdcage framed racing Jag to the All British Car shows here with an old Mini truck, it was really cool. I'm dreaming of a light trailer with my Bugeye, but I've really upgraded my power. The problem with a bugeye, no frame.
