• Hey Guest!

Public Apology

The BCF is a great place and much appreciated.

And many of the members would like to help however they can.

I think one of the attractions of the BCF is its free character- I was a member (one of the 500+ that helped push into the "big time") for a very long time before I started to be particularly active, and I might have been put off by a membership fee. I suspect that there may be a lot of people like that- reluctant to buy into something until they've had an extended chance to experience it... and become addicted....

BWAAA-HAAA-HAAA-HAAA! His evil plan worked!

No worries, Boss - full speed ahead!

You offer a great service to us all that we really appreciate.
I would be very happy to pay a membership (as I do). The amount of money that the forum saves us all in repair bills is way over what you would likely charge. If someone is not prepared to pay a membersip fee, quite honestly, they do not deserve to be part of this great community. How much would it cost us at a specialist to receive the same advice that we get here?
I am a member of three Triumph Clubs here in the UK. Each costs me about $60 - $70 per annum. There are no local meetings in my part of the world, so really my only benefit is a magazine every few weeks. I consider the BCF as my local club meeting these days!
I hope you manage to come up with some permanent solution that more than pays for your outlay and time.
Nick

Basil:
I skipped the apology as you truly didn't owe one. I've left many vices behind me (as a matter of necessity for a longer life!) so sign me up as a dues paying member when you decide to offer those again. I gotta spend a few bucks on something and this forum gives me so much!
:hammer:

Basil, no apology owed by you to any of us. You've got a good forum here, and even though intailly I was somewhat put off by the moderators and the policing of the forum, the flame wars that exist in almost all other forums, don't here, and that sir is a very good thing. You have made great strives to make sure this forum is a pleasent place to visit and for that I'd like to thank you.

While I'm just small one man shop, who makes a living (well kinda :)) at what I do, I'm ready to support you in some level, if the money was free flowing, trust me I sign up for the whole banner it, but it is not, so my penneys must be watch. By all means if i can help, let me know.

In closing, Basil thanks you for the community you have developed here, many friendships have been made here, and because of this place many of the people who visit here have benefited and the hoby is better because of the BCF.
