Vinyl arrived, is now glued on the dash, front cockpit suround next.

Hate putting that stuff on.

Any tips, Jack? I'll need to redo my dash vinyl one of these days...

Cut crosses or so in the openings, then cut them out useing a round file against the sides. Easy stuff.

If you are not too afraid of X-acto knives, a quick zip around the perimiter makes a nice clean cutout!

That could come back to bite you. Most vinyl shrinks over time and could pull away from your bezels. I usually "X" the hole and push the unused portion through the hole rather than trim flush. Bob

Good advice Bob,
I learned that the hard way on my custom console.

Well, it's been a while. I avoided the whole issue with a nice wood veneer with a lovely coat of Bristol Finish!

Shoot I can never get the gages and such through the holes if I don't cut em flush.

I agree Jack, the tolerances are too tight on mine too, that is why I suggested the surgical trim!!

Jack

Yes they are tight, but try to leave a bit extra.
