Engine parts clean and fresh painted as required.

Block at the engine shop being cooked.

Crank polished was still within spec. standard mains and journals.

Rebuild parts on order for direct delivery early next week.

Think I have done all in advance that I can at this point. Looking forward to raceing at Anderson SC this comming sunday.

Wheeee. last race of the year. Will drop both race engines up that way for overhauls so they will be ready for next year, april. Engines must be rebuilt by factory, it's the rules. Spare will also be updated to latest specs so it will be a go fast also. Sure glad I don't have to pay for this stuff.

Jack, while you are waiting, tape the bearing areas to protect them and shine that crank up. It is a trick the racers do. If you think of all the deformations on the crank going through the oil, they collect and splash it while the engine is running. Last yr for my engine rebuild, it does sound really funny, but you wouldn't believe the shine I put on my crank.

Jack, I'm going to be in the shop working Saturday, come by and visit if you have time, I'm about 45 minute drive form the racetrack.

Looks like Steve's Legend car is headed for Denver, and I got the ultimate Spridget trailer for free and $300 out of the deal, whooohooo /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Nice Hap. Lets see a pic of the ultimate trailer.

We will see if time allows. Maybe my bud with the care will feel like another 45 min, maybe not.

I'll post pics of the trailer, when I drag it home, it's still at steve until the deal goes thru, but he already sent his $500 deposit. I may be a week or two before he arranges for pick up of the legends car.

Hmmm, I bet Hap has one now that he has a new one.

I'd love to see some pics as well... I'm hopeful that I'll be able to swing a trailer next year. Handy things to have around.

Yes this is a really nice open trailer, diamond stell palte floors, with a boxed in storage race, and above tire rack, built for a smaller car, would probably carry a MGB as well, it has tow 15" tired sprung torsion axle, I fiquire someone paid a good $3K to have this trailer custom made.

Now Ben I do have a very decent single axle trailer made for Sprite, really light weight, looks alot like what Jack got from Ray, I got a guy talking to me about it, but if he doesn't come through, I'll sell it for $500, it has a small aluminum storage box on the front, a bolt on tire rack, aluminum wheels, with a matching spare all have deep good rubber. With some paint and TLC, this trailer could be a real looker. I think I posted a picture on it back when Jack was looking for a trailer, but I wasn't ready to sell it yet, because it was all I had left, as I sold the big enclosed trailer a year ago.

DARN!! Didn't know you were gonna sell the big, enclosed one, Hap!!

Take an option Ben.
