Up early, cool here 40 degrees.

Reasumbled an A frame with spindles, backing plate and such. Surely is easy when it is on the bench. Well that's one. The other LH is going to have to wait till I get a new A frame, etc etc. Looks like suspension parts is going to be something a bit over 600 bucks. That includes all the parts for the front and rear, ujoints and rack.

Does not include brake bits. Drums, shoes, clyinders, hoses and such. Seems like this is going to be a new car.

Now must wait till engine is finished till I place this order, no clue what that bill for that is going to be but it will be right. Ouch.

Still have parts to redo-not so many anymore but enough to keep me busy as I want to be and out of the bars.

Hope your projects are going along faster than mine.

Slow here Jack.

Picked up parts needed to complete the engine when the machine shop finishes. Decided to replace the rod bearings and upgrade the bolts. New stock head studs, misc gaskets etc.

Also time to drop the rear again to wedge out the passenger side and level her. So I bought all new mounting hardware this time and hopefully it will be the last time.

Packed up the finished parts and transferred the transmission mounts and throw out bearing to the rebuilt unit.

Just pretty much cleaning up the bits, so I have space.

I currently have to "crab" thru my garage... Work outside is a bit "brusque" this AM here too, Jack. BUt th' sun's out and it'll soon be warm enuff to get to it.

Sounds good. Take your time on the Bugeye and do it right.
About 40 degrees (F) here too.....naturally, top down in the Miata.....until the rain came /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif snowed this AM, but no biggie. It's real nice out now (sunny and about 50 F).

This week, I replaced all rod-bearings (normal "wear item" in the 1500) and am waiting for the Brown Truck to bring the thrust washers. Then I can button it all up.
Yesterday I put on new Brembo rotors and CarboTech pads...and bled out last years brake fluid. Changed one caliper too. Looking forward to having *real* brakes again (they were kind of sketchy at the end of last year).
Today, I am cleaning up the rear brakes and adjusting....there's always a *bit* of gear oil that sneaks into the rear brakes with my double bearing hub setup....that's part of the reason I want to switch to rear disks eventually.
I also changed the oil/filter on Miata and am working on the trailer hitch for my van.
Spridget needs some paint touchup and body work, but that will have to wait.
Racing begins in 4 weeks, so clock is ticking....

Hoho, my first Bugeye back about 1964 had a hitch, pulled a sunfish with it.

The things we do when we are young.

You coulda raised that Lanteen rig an' PUSHED the car!!!

Actually you never knew it was behind.

What did I do this week? I rebuild 3 trannys out of 4 bad ones, did all the body work and paint on a bugeyed RWA Midget, it was wet sanded yesterday and today I buffed it out after going to the Philly area MG club swap meet in the A40 in the rain.
In between I was powdercoating and glass beading bits and pieces for the now yellow Spridget. Since the scheme is modern Vette yellow and black, the headlamp, tail lamp, and other chrome bits are now powder coated black. It looks pretty good. Not my personal choice of colors but it's for a friend and I will do what he wants.
And this was after work, I do have to work too.

I hung out in N'Awlins all week - & by the number of boxes UPS delivered while I was gone - I'm gonna pay for it today!
