At 10:35 this morning I mashed the button on my stater solonoid and the engine turned over at starter speed! YEA!
I tried to do it fairly late yesterday and nothing happened, sigh. My wife was standing there and she said the magic words.
CHECK the GROUND! I guess I looked a little strange because she then said "you told me that people in the British Car Forum have said to alway check the ground if the electrical doesn't work" Love my wife. The positive battery cable was not properly grounded. Cleaned the paint off the body at the connection point and that took care of it.
Sounded great. My faux Licas battery worked fine. Can't wait to get everything done for an engine start attempt.

Thats great Dick although I think we need some bigger (and more) pictures

Cheers,
David

Sounds like she is a keeper. Nothing like a wife that can help out in the garage. Are you going to make a film of the first starting? Do you have the fenders on the car or did you leave them off for now?

I am excited for you. Looks gorgeous. Wives are Great, Huh!
