LBC Fans,

With my wife out of town this weekend I had ample uninterupted time (except for the incesant phone calls) to work on my A.... 10 hours on Saturday and 10 hours on Sunday.

I had I am soooo sore this morning I can't breath... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

Anyway... Installed the transmission housing and rear cover, built, painted, and (after much triming, cussing and several trips to Home Depot) installed the new floor boards that I made out of high grade 1/2" plywood. I also fixed and installed the Parking brake assembly and cable, installed the dash retaining brackets, install the carpet kit (not yet secured) and the seat rails.....AND a gazillion miscellaneous items here and there...

Looks fantastic.. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Finished or not... I AM driving this to the British Car Days in San DIego on the 7th of next month.... WHO-WE... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Just thought I'd let you all know... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Congrats on the hard work. Nice how much you can accomplish with some good chunks or (relatively) uninterrupted time.

Though you do know you can turn the ringer off most phones. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

drooartz,

Should I do that I would never hear the end of ..''Soo, where were you that you couldn't answer the phone?!?' /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I am headed to the DMV to get a temporary operating permit and will actually be driving the little puppy this week /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif The first time its been officially on the road since 1974!!! Black Plates and All....

Hadn't thought of that issue, Ron. My wife hates phones in general, so she would never notice if I didn't answer the phone for a few hours... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Hope you really enjoy the driving. For me, the few drives I could take between buying the car in '06 and pulling it off the road this year have really kept me going -- though I'll be even happier when I can drive it again come next summer!
