Spoke with Ricky, the body guy today, mostly to let him know I was intrested, etc. Talked about the CB hole on the rear, doing the insides of the doors same as the exterior.

He said no prob on the CB hole, will weld a plate behind it and go from there, he also has a small spot behind the battery on the firewall to do, you know where the battery rubs the wall. He said Miss Agatha will move tomorrow to the prep area for sanding, primering, sanding, primering, etc. Then color, sanding, color sanding, etc. then as many as 6 to eight coats of clear coat sanding and polishing in between. Still looking at mid October. Sigh. Looks like mid October, that's a far cry from early September isn't it? Oh well, as long as it is done right.

Ben is sending me an orginal Bugeye grill that I can have chromed, seems the one I have is an aftermarket.

Also located a generator that is in great shape, probably will have new bearings installed is all.

Wife thinks this respite is great for her checkbook, little does she know. Well she does. I would expect that I will constantly waiting on parts when Miss Agatha comes home as I know I can assemble faster than the check book will replenish.

Took the garage all apart to get ready for painting, got everything off the floor unless it has wheels, like tool box, etc. Will wait to paint and do floor when Miss Agatha is up and about.

The top of my work bench needs help. What's on the top of yours, mine is bare wood and nasty at this point. Gota be something better but could just replace it I supose?

Understand I am going to be at Daughters for the last week in October. Ok who is up there to help me with my fix. If all goes well Miss Agatha will be home alone and have just gotten there.

Wife agrees we are going to have to have a car trailer. Sooo, I am checking the adds etc daily to get a feel for prices. How come alumn 6X12 ones can't be cheep. Wife thinks we are going to car shows and she wants to ride in A/C comfort, not that I blame her at all. Niceville is a far peice from anywhere car things happen.

This whole experience has been very intresting and I have enjoyed it greatly so far and see no reason for that to change. Have meet some great folks here on the board and through chaseing for parts. In fact I am even envolved in an endevor for all of us in 2008. I assume you guys will have a booth or something.

I have no idea that Miss Agatha will compete with all the other really fine Bugeyes out there but do not want to be ashamed of her. So on we go.

Over and out.

Hi Jack,

The top of my workbench is kitchen counter top. I kept watch at the Lowes return area and picked up an eight foot section of primo quality stuff for $20! Later, I picked up two smaller sections and built another 8 foot table.

Didn't the old workbench plans from Moss suggest gluing down a sheet of laminate? Either way, the protection and easy cleanup of laminate or counter top is great!

Give my best to Agatha.

Tim
