GB is\was running, and he has all 4 gears on this box. #1 is loud but holds. Fuel feed problems are the latest issue that is being addresed. He did cruise about 20 city blocks before this had happened.
Update is that I got the fuel feed fixed. Since the BE was not wired for an electric pump, I had wired it some quarter of a century ago. So a simple check with a volt meter showed where the problem was and it is fixed.
The valves got re-adjusted again, I drove around the block for a spin and got the heads spinning here.
Still needs some tinkering with carbs and timing.
This winter, hopefully I will be in my first owned home and tinkering with it.
Well you never see anything but white on the front and you do see red and ambre on the rear. You know in fact I think my 60, new, may have had amber in the rear?? What do you bet that maybe TR or some of the other users use red in the rear and Bugeyes use amber, course can't prove that. Wonder what the Concours specs say.
I've never paid much attention to the lights before. Mine can with orange(amber) on the front and read on the rear. I guess I need to find a set of clear.
Moss lists the rear as Red, but on the MGA they note that amber was the UK spec. Maybe the early US sprites had amber on the rear, and were later changed to red. I think I'll let this rest as trivia.
