Hi

Finally got the new cell phone linked up to transfer pictures. Here is on last week of the engine assembled. She will get painted again when the transmission is mated.

The exhaust has been wrapped and I will update a pic of this also.

Looks preaty darn good. I have just spent all day trying to get the pinion nut off, no joy.

Thanks, sorry to here Jack.

I will take a picture of the exhaust header wrapped up that I worked on after work this week and post.

Whoooo hoooo! Methinks there is a Vroooooom! in your future.

Yep when engine is entirely complete I expect to put the final coats of paint on mine as well.

Please see attached for header wrapped pic, sorry it is between rain storms here.

Gesh, that's ugly. Does it cut down on heat a lot?

yup 1 hp, still the tape is wet waiting till it dries, '60 mod.

Jack, please remember this is my only play toy, once I get rid of the all original 71 Midget and maybe sell the MC2 to get more $$$ for the MMM project.

He will always be my little boy for the past 25 years and more of the future I wish /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I try to do tasteful mods for fun, rallies, etc. and keep true to a 1960 generation. Sorry, no Toyota here. I believe that it is alot harder to restore a modified BE runner with some "tasteful" period mods then with the all the lil cars I see now with the " Miatia Seats, Custom Dash, Counsels, Cd players etc.?, If anything can we celebrate the old school mods?

Patrick

Agree of course, if it is period it is ok.

What color will that dry?

Period schmeriod... Turbo time!!!

Just kidding. I junk out my 79 with all kinds of wacky mods, but I would never think of doing such a thing to a BE (or even a MKI-II Midget). I find it hard to believe that anyone will ever want a concourse 79. But maybe I am just saying that to make myself feel better.

Anyway, your car is going to be the bomb. Beautiful header wrap and all.

That engine looks great. You can feel free to come down any time and clean up mine! I'll even pull it from the car for you. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks all,

Jack, the header wrap drys a grey color, I wouldn't have done such without the LCB headers.

Dooartz, if you decide to go the 1275 route, then I have experience with this.

Morris, it is just my play toy that I have owned her for 25 years now, I try to keep it simple, but as updated as possible without much defacement.

Please remember that she is only one in about 7 or 8 some odd British cars that I own. The rest are all 99% original.

Thanks again,
Patrick

Looks very well done Patrick!
