Picked up all the engine from the machine shop.

Bore block .060 over and fit pistons $80
Clean & R+R plugs and bolts $50
Clean and polish crank Std rods and mains $27.50
R+R rods\pistons $24
Valve job $80
R+R guides $16
Resurface head $35
Resurface flywheel $35

Total 347.50

Also polished the cam bearings and removed two bolts with heat on a spring and reset two bolt holes for tapered bolts under the timeing chain.

My new thrust washers are in (along with new rod-bearings), oil pan's back on, and just added 4 quarts of oil.

Think not doc, he is an ex drugee and alcholic. But I will take the car by so he can see what happened to his work.

When I stoped by the machine shop yesterday he was proud to show me a mga engine he was doing as well. Was a 1500, right?

MGA could've been either 1500 or 1600 - depending on year of car.
