bolted in the side markers, tail lights,
and reverse lights.....

not nearly as much progress as i wanted,
but its onea those days where u look all

I'm assuming any and all detritus has been removed from the frame, correct? There's not a great deal of space in the track so any left over debris from the previous seal will cause installation challenges.

I installed a new seal on my frame earlier this month and initially contemplated the dish soap approach but really had no need for it. I simply aligned the seal insert with the track across the entire span of the frame bottom and used a very small screwdriver to push it gently into the track.

Give it another try.

Make sure the groove is really clean If not the soap loosens the crud, rubber pieces alum oxidezed and it sticks. I cleaned mine then ran a little piece of fine steel wool thru the groove then rinsed it out with clear water The soap trick worked after that.

Yep, I used soap also, alot of it! Agree on making sure the track is clean.

Same setup as on the B. Definitely a "four-hands" job! But it can be done. Take your time, soap it up, and get a good helper.

I pressed mine in. I didn't even attempt to pull it through when I saw how easily it pressed into place. Seems like it took about ten minutes.

I found that rather than soap, a "personal lubricant" like astro-glide works very well! It's extremely slick and is water based. Soap gets gummy quick.

u musta got lucky trevor,
i tried from both sides.
as far as sliding goes,
its clean, it just doesnt wanna go...
ill try again today with a helper......z

My brother-in-law loves to use silicone spray. Won't harm the rubber and lets things move or slide easily.

I took the end/side of the frame off and it almost fell into place. 6 small screws. PB Blast first.

Trevor took the other approach, he aligned completely on bottom with one side in the slot, Then went along pushing the other side of the seal in place.

I like Trevor's approach first. Mine worked really simple as well as a 1 person job.

PB blaster saves the day once again!!
im surprised that stuff doesnt cost
hundreds of dollars! ......z
