How did they originally install dashboards on these beasties? (not why - I presume just sadistic) but how? (I need spider monkeys)

But, it's on.
 
With the old Mercedes sedans, it was the heater core that was impossible to get at. The old joke was that, at the factory, they would suspend the heater by a wire, and build the car around it.

Maybe that's what they did with the Midget dash!

They hired the local MOWOGs to do just that. Unfortunately none around here I can hire. Got a spare fibeglass dash that I want to trade out to replace my cracked dash and the effort to remove and replace I'm having trouble justifying the effort when a dash pad covers it all up.
