Problem with headlights on BN6

Hey all,
Finishing the wiring on my BN6 and thought I had the headlamps
hooked up correctly. Getting power to the marker lamps and
rear tail lights but for some reason nothing to the headlamps.
Have double checked the connections at the lamps and the
switch but still nothing. Only thing I have not hooked up
at the dash end is the black grounding wire - could that
be the problem ? Scratching my head trying to figure out
where the problem is - any suggestions ?
Thanks,
Mike

Check out the Hi-Lo Beam dimmer switch and associated wiring. The headlight power should go to the dimmer switch after it leaves the headlight switch.

I also "do" Classic Mustangs and I have seen a couple of dimmer switches go bad by being open in both positions.

Hey y'all,
Thanks for the info. It turned out to be the dimmer switch. Got lows
but no brights. Also determined that the infamous license plate light
has a short in it - thank goodness for the in line fuse I installed.
So, once I get in a new dimmer switch and new brake light - if I can't
figure out where it is shorting out - I will have my electrics all done !
Regards,
Mike
