Problem please help: ASC/TRACKING not available

Hello,

I have a Jaguar 2000, Vander Plus, I have a problem:

1. The "ASC Not Available" and "Tracking Not Available" lights are always on, when I turn on the car, they are suppose to turn off at some point, but they dont.

Does anyone know how to disable them, so they won't be on when the car is on?

Please let me know ASAP

Rather than disable them, I'd recommend taking the car to a certified Jag mechanic and have them figure out the root cause of the problem. Just disabling the lights could mask a more serious problem.

Just food for thought,
Basil

I agree.....you have a glitch that really needs to be sorted out. Sounds as if it's a sensor rather than a mechanical problem. May be as simple as a bit of dirt stuck, but it needs attention. The ABS works in a similar fashion, and you don't want problems with that.

This situation mandates that a diagnostic scan be done by someone having the full range of the Jaguar software. Trying to disable the fault code is not possible in your XJ300 Jag.

i see, but has anyone had this problem before?

I dont want to just disable the lights, i want to know from here, before i get it checked out, what it might be.

any ideas?
