MGB Probably a nice car

Nice car, maybe, but by the ad, I wouldn't trust anything this guy had to say.
First sports car of MGB to be produced. B-series engine. ??? Wonder what that's all about? Very rare? Only 400,000 made! Sounds like what I call, a soap box salesman pushing a product he knows little about. :rolleyes2: PJ

It's pretty clear that English is not his first language, so maybe we should cut him a little slack?

Nor is history of the BMC/BL MGB his strong suit.

Just to take a little broader view--the guy is trying to convince us that it is worth a lot of money without saying a single thing of substance about it. This is a perfect example of the kind of misfired ad that shows up on ebay and Craigslist regularly. If people would sit down and THINK about what a potential buyer needs to know about a car, the ads would be a lot more useful.

Oh, and somehow I don't think the first MGB produced was a 1980 model, but of course I could be wrong...

I know, I know! :highly_amused: , It had me laughing also. You never know, there might be someone out there that actually believes him! PJ

P.T. Barnum had it right.
