Primewell tires?

This is not a Triumph question but Triumph owners (apart from myself) seem to be exceptionally knowledgeable so I thought I'd ask here. I went to get some tires at Costco for my wife's Mazda Protege but they didn't have them in her size. So she took the car to Firestone and they sold her Primewell tires. Anyone know if these are reputable, or are they junk? I tend to believe you get what you pay for, but maybe for her these are a reasonable value for her driving style. Thanks for any shared wisdom.

I'm not familiar with Primewell and couldn't find anything on a brief search. But as far as getting what you pay for doesn't always hold true in tires. Kumho and some other manufacturers make very good tires for very good prices. So hopefully, these tires will fall in that catagory.

That's a new brand on me. I never heard of them, but that doesn't mean that they're not good.

Re: Primewell
I did a search asking for reviews...Lots of complaints...Most nationwide dealers refuse to stock them....IMHO..There's too many good quality reasonably prices tires out there to consider any with so much negative feedback...I don't buy "top of the line" because my tires die of old age (6-7 years) before I wear them out but I want a tire that I'm comfortable with at 85 MPH. The Discount Tire Company has always been honest with me but they don't have any outlets in New Jersey.
