primer sealer problem

well, i attempted to put the primer
sealer on the car and had a lil problem....
some of the car is nice and smooth while
other parts somehow got an overspray/dusting....
im not too happy bout it!
im assuming after it drys, i will need to
sand it down and try again....
will wet sanding get it smoothed out?
its nonsandable primer, so i doubt its gonna
be fun ....comments.........zimmmmy

Should dry sand just fine. Use at least 360 grit or better.

with a 4:1 polyeurethane , what gun pressure
should i be running?
my gun says 50-85 lbs.....
i set my compressor to 60.....z

The pressure sounds about right could be a lot of things causing the dry application, hot ambient temp, gun too far away, or moving to fast, more paint in the mixture.

I am by no means an expert, but when I tried to paint a car a couple years ago when it was getting up to the 90s in the days (I waited until night, but it was still HOT in the garage) I had similar problems with paint application.

You can also try thinning the stuff with some high temp reducer (for most products, read the product data sheet, or get one if you don't have one).

Glemon has the right idea there zimmy!! Try adjusting the pressure up and down a bit and paint "test" pieces till you get the right "feel"!...Hey, at least the car-port and car will match!!! :thumbsup:

ill get it smooth eventually.....

also, i did use a 85 degree reducer,
so thats not the problem....
most likely my gun settings.......z
