One of my interns (male, 25) has dealt with a medical issue since he was around 10. He has insurance, but the only thing that really helps is a recently developed (i.e. no generic available) medication. Despite insurance, he still has to pay $250/mo.

He got the first treatment for free - and it worked a miracle. Complete success. But after a month, the cost for him went to $250/mo. What sources are available to help in paying? He earns around $35K/yr. Apartment rent, car insurance, food, etc. don't leave much for things like medical care.

Thanks.
Tom M.
