For those of you who have been following the saga of our 1st major MGB rebuild and were as unhappy as we were when we had the paint applied.......
We have read EVERY post about painting your own car and finally decided to take the plunge. This is NOT a British car (we just didn't have the guts to do this to one!) but we did decide to practice on our old son's Toyota. I mean what the heck he's at college and it's just sitting around in the garage....
Here's our weekend.....
Thanks to all of you who have posted your paint stories. So far this has cost us a total of $30 for All-Metal body filler (thanks doc!), $150 in primer and $225 in paint and clear coat.
We couldn't have gotten an Econo job for that price AND it wouldn't have looked near this good or had near the satisfaction of being able to say, "We did ourselves!"
