TR2/3/3A Practical Hints for the Maintenance of the Triumph T.R.3[A] - Third Edition

Practical Hints 3rd edition:

This was the equivalent of the owner's manual, for the early TR3A.

There are several mistakes (which I've tried to indicate with yellow notes). For example the wiring diagram was not updated to reflect the wiring for the "self-parking" DR2 wiper motor, even though the component specifications (correctly) list the DR2. (According to PIggott, the DR2 was introduced at TS12567, even before the 3A introduction. My own late TR3 seems to support this as it has the extra wires in the original harness.)

Likewise, the paragraph on adjusting the clutch shows the earlier Lockheed clutch slave and adjustment, even though the braking section was updated for Girling components and the updated 3/4 floating rear axle is shown (introduced at the same time as Girling brakes and clutch slave).

If you like, you can compare this to the later 6th edition at
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2H2NJt34OffNjQ4MTkyNjItZTVmYi00M2U2LWJhYWUtMjEyZDgxMzUyNzUw

Eventually, I hope to make all 6 editions available in PDF form, but this is what I have for now.

As always, let me know if you find any problems, missing pages or illegible words, etc.

Thanks for making these available, Randall - great resource!

Thank you Randall.

I appreciate your contributions to the Triumph community, both here and in other venues.

I know how much work goes into converting printed booklets to .pdf files.
