I am planning to paint my TR3 with ppg Concept single stage black urethane.Tub has been saand balsted, and due to PO letting sit and light surface rust developing I am going to wash wih phopshoric acid and then wash with prep product, maybe ppg Acriclean, before primer.
I plan epoxy primer, then urehtaane 2k high build easy sand primer. There seems to be two urehtane primers dp40-90lf,and k36.
Also it seems black is DCC9000 or 9700.
Can anyone advise on ppg products and paint codes for primers and black, and good online supplier?
Also any reccommendations on premium body filler for bare metal or over epoxy appreciated.
Thanks
Tom

I have not used Concept yet but its predecessor Deltron (no longer available) instead. I guess my next project will be Concept though. I really like epoxy primer followed by K200 surfacer then a thinned coat of epoxy to really seal the K200 and finally the top coat. I have not used K36 but understand it is similar to K200. Both are catalized primer/surfacers. The DP products are all epoxy, not urethane. Epoxy is an excellent primer but it is not self-etching. PPG DX579 Metal Cleaner should be used first to clean and prepare the bare metal for the epoxy.

Not Omni. Just checked it. I still have part of a can. As I said, my last paint job was Deltron so K200 may be another of those great products that just disappeared. I sure did like it though.
