Powder coating begins next week

I dropped off a spare suspension system to Bob Greene at Cape Cod Powder Coating today with the instructions to make them look good. He will sand blast and then coat the entire package so I'll be ready for the under body overhaul.

By next week, we'll see if he's as good as everyone says.

OBTW, I decided to paint the frame with the POR Chassis Black after the scrub down, rust off and encapsulator/sealer so everything shown here will be a mid silver color. Calipers are red, drums are new aluminum and the springs are black.

I did order the TRF complete chassis bushing/rebuilding kit, so Dale won't be the only guy with nice new bolts under there.

Paul,

best wishes for a successful powder coating project.

And I'll bet you an iced tea it will not take you an
entire month to change out the front suspension like
it took me!!

You'll probably have the project completed before I get
my busted water pump replaced.

17 years today, of Wendy putting up with her nutcase
husband. Going cross island to a thermal spring resort
and eat lobsters and more lobsters.

Now that the knuckle busting of taking everything apart to clean it is done, so I have to agree. The parts all came together, so I had to disassemble before taking to Bob.

BTW, I found that by using a Pitman arm puller, you can drive the center steel tube out of the rear lower control arms bushings and the rubbers came right out after that. I did have to go to a shop to have the front axles pressed out of the spindles.

Once this is done, I'll put it back together just finger tight and will all bushings pressed in so when we get ready to tear it down, this stuff will be all ready to go back in.
