The local zoo was planning a special Halloween exhibit featuring a pair of Ursus arctos horribilis until it was determined the name of the exhibit might deter people from coming. It was to be called "Two Grizzly"

I can't bear it.....

of course the man who planned the exhibit was forever known as "Two Grizzly Adams"

The bears were saddened by the outcome of the display so they wanted to get 2 vacation homes, one in the north and one in the south. But the mortgage company denied their application. They don't give mortgages to buy polars.

A newspaper reporter heard about the story and interviewed the bears. He brought a photographer with to take pictures. The story and images were submitted to National Geographic. The story didn't get much notice, but one of the pictures became extremely famous. It was a true Kodiak moment.
