Not being computer knowledgeable I finally, after playing around for a few hours was able to attach a photo of my car. It’s one LARGE picture. OK, now how do I get it to a reasonable size??

Nice looking car.
You have to reduce the size with a photo program such as what comes with a digital camera or scanner. You can test the size you choose with a web browser such as windows explorer or right here on this site. For instance the picture of my MG below is 300 X 225 pixels.

Thanks. I will try it right now. I hope!

How's this look your end, any better?

I have a fieling you are changing the viewing size but not the resolution.

And resolution is??

Your image is 1268 x 532 pixles. At a resolution of 72 pixles per inch your image is 17.6" x 7.3" If you change your resolution to 300 pixles per inch the image is 4.2" x 1.7". You have changed the way you look at the image, the "zoom" so to speek but the image is still 1268 pixles by 532 pixles. Here is one that is 288 pixles by 121 pixles which is 4" x 1.6" at 72 pixles per inch:

The thing you have to remember is the DPI (dots per inch) ONLY applies to printing on paper. Computer monitors are all 72 DPI without exception. If you want to resize an image for use on a computer screen you need to specify the size in pixels.
