Wow, that black engine bay is sweet!

I was going to start detailing mine as a winter project. I was going to touch up with carmine red (color of my TR) but maybe I will do it in black instead, after seeing yours!

I wanted to paint my engine bay the same color as the car, but at the time I didnt pull the engine, I guess I'll wait till my next TR, which is about do. Maybe in the spring. I'm looking into buying an older model, maybe a TR2 or 3. haven't made up my mind yet, but I'm do for a new project.

the only problem with owning a Triumph is that when you finish the car you just want another one to work on...((It's a REAL problem!)) so says my wife! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

Is that the infamous "Lucas smoke"

[/ QUOTE ]

It is not just "Lucas Smake". In fact all electrical things run on smoke. After all it has been shown time and time again that once you let the smoke out they stop running.

this will be awesome....give me a few minutes to upload....

If the weather cooperates I'll try to do a video this weekend so you can hear what it sound like. Won't be any music getting in the way of the engines melodic tunes though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

KEEP'M COMING!

That black engine bay is superb Kadanja. Ads a bit of something extra. That smoke haze usually comes from the front of mine........I'm not finished restoring mine so I don't have after pics.
Regards
Craig

Im glad some of you like the black engine bay, I know it's not original, but like I said before, "Built to Drive"

It's actually sprayed with textured trunk paint (Black w/Grey specks), which give the area kind of a rubberized undercoating. If it happens to get nicked or scratched I just give it another quick spray, matches perfect everytime. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/england.gif
