Spitfire Possible to lower front bumper on Spitfire Mark 3?

I'm currently drawing up my short list of LBCs, and saving money to finally own one (Bugeye and Mark 1-2 spitfire made the short list so far).

My question is in regards to the Mark III Spitfires. They seem to be quite similar to the earlier cars, but I don't much care for the higher front bumper. Will an earlier bumper/overriders fit one of these? Trying to see if this will fit my list as well.

Thanks much,
-Drew

You can always lower your bumper, but it won't just be a straight up bolt on procedure. The MkII has mounting holes in the lower valance which a mounting bracket goes through. The overrider mounts, have a tabs which stick down that the bumper mounts to. So if you really wanted to mount an earlier bumper, you'd have to fabricate these things. My first suggestion would be to take your bumper off put the overriders on and see how you like the look of that.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm probably going to keep my search for the Mark 1-2 cars for now, unless a great deal comes by on a Mark 3.
