So it seems that many people have used Por 15 ( or another similar product) on their floors and such.
My inquiry. How long to wait after installing the sealer to install the sound proofing?

Hey Don, why don't you try some lizard skin....I am thinking about using it on my 3A to try it out.

Cheers,
Tush

I used Lizard Skin on my recent TR6 302 build. I used both the heat and the sound spray. I notice a big change in heat transfer but sound seems unaffected. An open car though may not be the best test.

Never heard of it. I'll do the Google and check it out

George, I see your rather new. Have you been welcomed in?

It should say on the directions, when I used it I thought you let it get tacky and then put the top coat on otherwise its so slick the paint or what ever might peel off

Don,
Lizard skin used microbeads embedded in the paint. Apparently there are two different kinds of beads, so that work better with sound, others that work better with heat. I am thinking that you could get the beads from another source and mix them in your POR15 paint and get both at the same time. And the top coat Keith is talking about is a color coat or whatever. You must paint over POR 15 (if your are going to) within a specified time.
