Insane. I realize how (1) wimpy I am, and (2) how much easier our lives are today!! Obviously easier does not always equal better - "no pain, no gain". A lot less people die today than they used to - and that is good.
I don't know anyone who spent a night soaked in fuel and left for dead.
And then one(?) year later did the same while floating in the Pacific ocean.
