Brother Andrew was new to the monastery and new to life in seclusion. As he was being given a tour of the facilities, he and the abbott were descending farther and farther into the deep recesses of the monastery.
He was shown the refectory (dining hall), the cells (bedrooms), the library, and the chapel. As they approached each level down the dark stairways, Bro. Andrew thought he heard some sort of noise in the otherwise still facility. The sounds grew in volume as they traveled down the staircase.
When they reached the lowest level of the monastery, they could tell that the sounds were those of someone sobbing uncontrollably. They were coming from a room that the abbott said was where the ancient scrolls were copied, one by one, by hand. As the abbott opened the door to the chamber, they saw a monk sitting on the floor sobbing.
The abbott rushed over to the monk and said, "Brother Timothy, what's wrong?"
Brother Timothy looked up at them and exclaimed, "It said, 'CeleBRATE'!"
