Yesterday our car club entertained another club in town, and one lovely car was a 1949 Pontiac Silver Streak Left Hand Drive (not common in Australia). What dismayed me about the car was that everything was totally in showroom condition with two exceptions...the pontiac emblem on the steering wheel was cracked...and the chieftain plastic mascot on the hood ornament was honeycombed with cracks. This happens a lot with plastic lenses and stuff due to the weather. If anyone knows where to find a replacement plastic
mascot I'd love to know please. I'm not sure if there is a lamp behind it or not. Thanks
