Polarizing a generator

I have to put a generator in the GT I am working on for a friend. The car is positive ground and he just provided me with a rebuilt unit but I am not sure if it is positive or negative ground.

I had a link to this but I had a re-install recently after a crash and can't locate some of my favorites.

Vince - Remove both wires from the generator. Attach a jumper wire to the the small terminal on the generator and wipe the across the battery cable where it attaches to the starter solenoid a couple of times. It should spark each time you do it. Remove the jumper and reinstall the original wires to the generator. You're done.
Cheers,

Thanks David,

Seems easy enough. I think the genny swap is on tonights list of things to do so hopefully I can cross that off.

Cheers
