Plane crash in Roy, Utah

Just saw this about a small plane crash in Roy, UT. One of our members, ObiRichKanobi, I know lives in Roy. Hope he's ok! Sounds like some homes on fire.

Everything OK here. The plane went down about 3-4 miles as the crow flies from our house. About 3 blocks from the airport boundaries. From the position on the map it's hard to tell what it was doing, as it's not in line with any of the runways. The fog has been really think today so I wonder if that had something to do with it. So far no fatalities, but the pilot and a couple people from the houses taken to the hospital.

Thanks for checking in! Glad to hear you're ok. Do you by chance know Mike Cady? He lives in Roy - retired Highway Patrolman (State Police) with a beautiful White 54 Jaguar XK120.

No, can't say I know him. Well, I could say that, but it would be a lie, so I won't.

My wife finds it amusing that we can reference people by their cars.

Often I remember the car and the talk but not necessarily the person. But then, I am not visually perceptive when it comes to humans.

Oh, Obi , Is that a yes??? And they say women aren't direct...

I have never heard of a Cessna 220. Perhaps they mean Cessna 320?

I had a good friend who was like that. "Do you know Ralph Jones?" "Ralph, he owns chassis # AJS374PM. Derby Bentley, Radford coachwork, had to replace a king pin in 68 just after he bought the car. Yep, I know him."

That always impressed me!

good news for all on board, sounds as if the pilot is non-instrument rated or was having a problem with such, additional similar events in close proximity is a concern.

It was a 210, N77CF.

That would have been my next guess!

Thanks!
