It worked here's another. Notice no running boards and the fenders curve into the body where you can see the light spot. The fenders look factory. I have car# TD/5950, does anyone know if it came from the factory like this?

When you get a chance, post whatever numbers you can find to this web site. Gord Clark of the Niagara MG club is making a TD/TF list of surviving cars...quite an extensive list so far. I'm sure your new TD is not listed. https://www.niagarabritishcarclub.org/mgtnumbers/numbers.html
Your TD's fenders were bobbed. It was a popular thing to do to cars that either raced, or were supposed to look cool. Basically means that they removed the running boards and made the fenders curved/pointed at the end instead of square. Looks like your car is in similar shape to the one I'm trying to put together right now. Maybe we can compare notes later on.
It would be a good idea to compare notes because I'm missing a lot of parts but with parts form a 72 MGB I will make a good running car.

That is quite a project! I have my car pretty much dissassembled right now and boxes are everywhere. Once in awhile I'll kinda freakout when I can't find something and I'm the one that took it apart. I imagine is must be doubly difficult putting something back together you didn't take apart! I wish you good luck!
